Donations have flooded in for the eight-year-old cancer survivor who was allegedly pushed down the stairs at Sunday’s Buffalo Bills game, with her GoFundMe page passing $27,000 in money raised as of publication.
A Facebook post from Mikey DeCamilla about the alleged incident went viral Monday, as she shared the experience her family had at the game between the Bills and the San Francisco 49ers at Highmark Stadium.
Mikey shared that her daughter, Mia, who has battled embryonal sarcoma, per her GoFundMe page, was bumped down the stairs by a Bills fan.
Donations have consistently been made by those saying they are Bills fans, with former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown amplifying Mia’s GoFundMe page – which went on to blow past its $10,000 goal on Monday.
After news of the family’s story spread across social media, multiple people connected to the league and to the Bills reached out to try and spread awareness.
Buffalo area journalist Kate Glaser also posted the video from DeCamilla, saying, ‘The Bills have also reached out to provide Mia a better stadium experience with a future visit.’
The Orchard Park Police Department and the Buffalo Bills did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment on this matter.
The DeCamillas are 49ers fans, but hail from upstate New York, with Orchard Park being pelted with snow consistently over the weekend.
Mia and Mikey can be seen bundled up around the Bills’ stadium before kickoff in the post before the alleged incident.
‘I Beat Cancer! My First NFL Game!’ the post was captioned. ‘Sadly we left earlier than planned. Yes, the Niners are losing, but unfortunately we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decides it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight year old daughter Warrior Mia DeCamilla (down the stairs, in section 312!)’
The mother added, ‘If you are this type of Bills Mafia fan please unfollow our family now.!!!!! Also, I hope the a**hole who thought it was cool to push a kid that stood in the cold with her cancer free sign was so worth your win!’
The Bills defeated the 49ers 35-10 on Sunday, with social-media clips emerging of them climbing to their seats through layers of snow, wrapped in coats and scarves for the big game.
