Former Buffalo Bills star Eric Moulds is being sued by a Western New York woman after she alleges he ‘knowingly gave her herpes’.
The woman, who is named in the lawsuit but not publicly, claims that Moulds ‘knew, or should have known he had a sexually transmitted disease’ before they started a sexual relationship, and he did not disclose such information.
The Western New York woman also makes the bombshell claim in the lawsuit that it was Moulds’ own pregnant fiancee who contacted her and told her to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases, including herpes.
The woman has since allegedly tested positive for herpes simplex virus type 2.
Social media has also played an alleged role in this lawsuit, where the woman claimed she learned of others who have claimed to have gotten STDs from Moulds.
None of those women have come forward, nor has the number of alleged other women Moulds was involved with been revealed.
Moulds attorney, Frank LoTempo III, told the Buffalo News that ‘all of the accusations contained in the lawsuit are false’.
LoTempo stated he was contacted by the woman’s attorney, Kevin Stocker, but Moulds has yet to be served with the lawsuit.
‘I will respond once we get properly served, and defend this, probably to the point of a trial,’ LoTempio said.
The lawsuit states the Western New York woman and Moulds first started talking in 2018 when the now 51-year-old former wide receiver sent her a message on Instagram.
Occasionally, the two exchanged messages, per the lawsuit, with the pair entering a long-term relationship last January.
The lawsuit claims Moulds and the woman last had sexual contact 13 months ago in November 2023, with the woman testing positive for herpes in December 2023 after experiencing symptoms after having no other sexual partners.
Moulds is a three-time Pro Bowler who played for the Bills from 1997 through 2005, and he was also included in the franchise’s 50th anniversary team.
After leaving Buffalo, he was also on the rosters of the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, before being released at the end of the 2007 season and not going on to play for another team.
