The road to the three-peat has been mapped out for the Kansas City Chiefs as their NFL schedule dropped in full on Wednesday night.
After winning their second straight Super Bowl in February, Andy Reid is now planning the team’s bid to enter the history books as champions for the third season in a row.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes already knew they were in for a spectacular start to the season, with the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 5, followed by another home game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.
In Week 3, the Falcons will host the Chiefs in Atlanta for Sunday Night Football, and it will be a second straight road game in Week 4, with the team in California facing the Los Angeles Chargers.
Kelce will have his older brother, Jason, analyzing his game in Week 5, when the New Orleans Saints come to Arrowhead for Monday Night Football. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Jason has joined ESPN’s coverage during the NFL season.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs revealed their 2024 NFL schedule on Wednesday night.
Patrick Mahomes is looking to deliver a third straight Super Bowl title to Kansas City.
A bye week is scheduled for Week 6, the earliest the Chiefs have had in the Mahomes era.
This gives the team time to cool off before their Super Bowl matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in California for Week 7. Tom Brady, in his new role as a FOX Sports analyst, will be there for that.
The Chiefs beat the 49ers by three points in the exhibition game in February, with Mecole Hardman’s overtime touchdown coming in Las Vegas.
In the immediate aftermath of that night of glory in February, Kelce underscored his goal of winning three straight titles.
“Well, you know the goal has always been to get three,” Kelce exclaimed on stage. “But we couldn’t get here without getting those two and having that goal on our backs all year. How about that? We have a chance to do it three times in a row.”
